Old Royal Navy Frigate
An old friend from Mid Wales used to be in the Royal navy and this was a photograph of a ship he was on when they were on exercises somewhere.
He finished up felling trees on the sides of Welsh mountains, pretty scary I can tell you; anyway, he returned the painting to to me to be framed and suddenly disappeared to London.
A shame he just vanished, I have seen him once in London but he was driving a tourist coach and although we managed to speak, through the sunroof, I didn't even get his address.. So the painting stayed with me.
That was in the late 1970's, a long time ago.
