The Merlin Close-Up having a re-fitThe Merlin Close-Up

Here we have the beautiful Merlin out of the water during the winter. She is having an engine re-fit I believe, I have forgotten to be honest but when I see Dave, the owner, I will confirm it.

She has an unusual way of keeping upright when the tide begins to ebb. Because she has a fixed keel she needs to keep her balance so she has a pair of 'legs'.

On the left of the hull you can see a steel support leg, there are two of these, and they simply wind down as the water gets lower the legs keep her upright.
